Fishing

The Eis House is located on the Little Salmon River in the village of Mexico, New York.  We are 15 minutes South of Pulaski, New York, less than 25 minutes west of Altmar, New York and just minutes from Lake Ontario.

The Salmon River is a 12-mile stretch north of us and is best known for chinook salmon, coho salmon and steelhead.  The best fishing runs from mid-September through November and mid-March through mid-May.

Lake Ontario is best known for pacific salmon, lake trout, brown trout, rainbow trout/steelhead, walleye black bass, northern pike and panfish.  There are many charter captains in the area that know the best places to fish.

Oneida Lake is 24 minutes south of us and best known for walleye, perch and smallmouth and largemouth bass.

We currently have five overnight stay rooms with nightly, weekly and extended rates available.  Local and visiting fishermen enjoy our unique menu and our staff look forward to seeing the fishermen each year!
